Loved the location, was literally a 2 minute walk to the Roman Baths and the Abby. We were a family of three, so having the extra bedroom for our daughter was perfect. The main room was very large as well as the bathroom. Loved the view of the little courtyard.

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

We loved walking around old Bath.
We loved walking around old Bath. There's a free Mayor's Ambassador walking tour but we were not able to make it. I would try next time. The Roman Baths were very much worth touring. Definitely book online. Free audio tour. Bath Abbey is beautiful. We entered for a worship service. The choirs are amazing. We also walked around inside after the service. Many great restaurants. Be sure to try the hotstone steak place! We drove to Stonehenge and Avebury Henge. Both were astounding. We ended our 4 days with a trip to Thermae Bath Spa. Delightful!

The city was easy to walk around and the large vehicle free zone was much appreciated.
The gorgeous parks gave us a peaceful feeling after visiting the many tourist hotspots.

Bath is a great city.
Bath is a great city. It was the accommodation that was the problem, we were entirely mislead by photos of the interior and exterior.
Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants are a bit pricey.
Lots to see and do.

this is a lovely city to visit, and I really enjoyed what there was to do and the dining options were great!
I would visit again!
The Roman Bath tour is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the Thermae Bath Spa - highly recommend it! It was easy to take the train to Salisbury and see Stonehenge from here as well.
It is easy to get around walking or else jump in a taxi. We took the train to Bath from London - 1 1/2 hours so easy to get to.
I was disappointed in the hotel we stayed at and would not go there again, but it looks like there are many other lovely places to stay.
This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at so far. It is in an old 18th century building but was recently renovated. The decour, the choice of colours (loved the royal blue with white), the finishing, the attention to detail - everything was superb. Our room faced the inner garden that added to the beauty of the place. The bed was super comfortable, there was also slippers and robes for the guests. The staff was very nice, helpful and responsive. When I am in Bath again, I will definitelystay in Kennard again!
Lovely location on the outskirts of Bath situated right on the bank of the river Avon. Although not visible to the hotel it is directly adjacent to a Park and Ride which gives easy, quick and cheap bus service to the centre of Bath every 15 minutes.
Room 5 was very spacious with a large private balcony. The heating was particularly effective so the room was very warm for our winter stay.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and all of the meals we had, particularly the Sunday roast, were excellent.
The hotel is centrally located, with eateries and pubs around it as soon as you step outside the door. Kingsmead Square is a 2 minute walk and Bath Abbey, the train station are just a quick 10 minute walk from there hotel. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bed and there’s also a TV in the room. They also have a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. Breakfast is served in the morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. All in all a very good stay.
Beautiful hotel. Rooms clearly newly refurbished. Staff super helpful. Perfect place just outside Bath. Will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone that plans to go there. The most amazing time! Food was superb! Couldn't fault anything! Truly the best part of the trip! Couldn't get over how beautiful the rooms were!! The fields around the hotel gave it a more relaxing feeling which allowed for beautiful views of the sunset. Couldn't recommend this place more!!!!
Really good location, very friendly reception staff.
The cleaning in the room was not great, expecial in the bathroom. I could see mould and dirt all over the shower wall. Also the spa is not the best, doesn't offer too much and the pool area needs some refurbishment. Is annoying that the kids have limited time to the pool, the weekend we were there I could see lots of children in the hotel, but the time for them is just a few hours.
Excellent location - hotel just a 10-min walk from Bath Spa train station and located at Bath City Centre, so very close to restaurants, pubs and cafes; Our room and bathroom were super clean; We had great breakfast at the hotel for an extra of £15 pp; The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodated all of our requests; We are definitely going back!
Steps away from the station, yet at the same time in the very heart of Bath, The Hotel Indigo was a real treat after criss-crossing the country, visiting universities. Elegant, yet not stuffy, with very friendly staff, we had an unexpectedly large room with an equally large bathroom, beautiful sheets and a delicious breakfast (and dinner!).
My family & I liked everything about the hotel. Very pleasant stay. The pool Spa was extraordinary, great experience for us. Thank you so much to all the staff for the most wonderful stay. We would highly recommend and definitely be returning to this lovely hotel when we visit Bath again in the future.
We had an a surprise room upgrade on arrival which was excellent. The location of The Francis Hotel is very central to Bath. All main attractions a few minutes walk away from the hotel. We weren't disturbed by any loud traffic noise either - rooms very well sound proofed.
The Hotel is very easy to get to and has lovely views over Bath. The staff were helpful and the room clean and nice.
The Hotel is conveniently adjacent to a Bus stop into central Bath, saving a car ride in (really hard), or walking (a little steep for us).
The room itself was nice and clean, spacious decent bed and bathroom. The breakfast was lovely, choice of cereals and fruits, also full English breakfast was available. Location of the hotel was a short walk into the city centre which was ideal.
The best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted!! Very friendly staff. Gorgeous and very spacious room although I didn’t realise there was no door to separate the bathroom! Approx 10 minute walk into bath city centre. Lovely stay
The hotel is very nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. The location is also great for quick and easy access to Bath city centre.
The location of the hotel was convenient. It is a short walk to the Roman Baths and many restaurants and shops. The four poster room was cozy with a comfy bed. The breakfast was very good.
Nice room. Excellent location in the centre of Bath close to all of the attractions. Breakfast was good. Parking was available in the podium which is right next to the hotel.
Location and price are the best compared to other hotels in Bath. I stayed in a single room and it had plenty of space and a sink. Staff members were friendly and helpful.
